Professor Peter Flatt is a distinguished academic at Ulster University's School of Biomedical Sciences, where he has served as Full Professor since 1989. With a PhD from Aston University and postdoctoral experience at Uppsala University, he leads the Diabetes Research Group and previously directed the Biomedical Sciences Research Centre. His extensive affiliations include founding chairmanship of the EASD Islet Study Group and executive roles in Diabetes UK.
