Peter D. Higgins is a Collegiate Professor of Gastroenterology and Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his MD and PhD in molecular cancer biology at Duke University, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship and MSc in Clinical Research Design at the University of Michigan.
