Peter Collins is a Teaching Fellow in Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London, and an External Member at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). He holds a PhD in Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London (supervised by Ulrike Hahn, 2017), an MSc in Psychology from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Linguistics from the University of Cambridge. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a tutor for young adults with autism and severe learning difficulties.
Research Interests: Peter's work spans psycholinguistics and cognitive science, with emphasis on:
- Belief updating related to conditional statements
- Semantic, pragmatic, and psycholinguistic analysis of conditionals
- Framing effects in decision-making
- Evidential language in argumentation and testimony
