Peter Broedner

Prof. Dr. Peter Brödner is an Honorary Professor at the University of Siegen's Faculty III Business Informatics and New Media. His career spans over five decades of academic and industrial research in production systems, digitalization, and sociotechnical design. A mechanical engineer by training (PhD, TU Berlin, 1974), he held leadership roles including Research Director at the Institute of Work and Technology (1989–2005). His work critiques technological overreach, emphasizing human-centric design principles.

Education: Studied mechanical engineering at Karlsruhe and TU Berlin, earned his doctorate from TU Berlin in 1974.
