Peter Bethanis

Peter Bethanis is an Assistant Teaching Professor of English at Ball State University's Department of English, housed within the College of Sciences and Humanities. He specializes in research writing and creative writing, teaching courses like ENG 104, Creative Writing, and Poetry. His creative work includes poetry, essays, and short stories published in journals such as Poetry, Tar River Poetry, and Art Times. He is the author of two books: Dada and Surrealism for Beginners (Random House) and American Future (Entasis Press).

• Research & Publications: Focuses on contemporary poetry and creative nonfiction. His poetry has been featured on Poetry Magazine's website and he has received notable awards, including the Eve of St. Agnes Poetry Prize selected by James Dickey.
