Pete Keleher

Pete Keleher is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland. His research focuses on systems, networking, architecture, cybersecurity, and cryptography, with specific interests in distributed file systems, peer-to-peer systems, and operating systems. He holds a Ph.D. from Rice University (1995).

He has received the NSF CAREER Award in 1996. His work includes advising students like Jik-Soo Kim, whose paper on resource discovery in distributed desktop grid environments won a best paper award at the 2006 International Conference on Grid Computing.
