Benoît Perthame is a Professor at Sorbonne Université (UPMC) since 1993 and serves as Director of the Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions (2013-present). He previously held leadership roles at INRIA (Head of teams M3N and BANG, 1998-2013) and academic positions at École Normale Supérieure (Assistant Professor, 1983-1988) and University of Orléans (Professor, 1988-1993).
