About
Dr. Perry Devo is a Lecturer in Computational Chemistry at Middlesex University, affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Technology's Natural Sciences department. He holds a first-class Integrated Master’s in Chemistry from the University of Greenwich and a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry focused on novel therapeutics for malignant mesothelioma. His research integrates computational chemistry, machine learning, and analytical techniques like mass spectrometry to advance drug design and environmental epidemiology.
Current projects include wastewater-based epidemiology studies targeting pharmaceutical care products and the development of innovative sensing technologies. Dr. Devo has held roles as a Scientific Officer in Mass Spectrometry and currently supervises doctoral researchers Ivan Petkov Punev and Frederick Bradley-Pickston. His work spans electrochemical synthesis methods (e.g., eHydrogenation, eFluorination) and exosome-based cancer diagnostics. Over 20 academic outputs demonstrate expertise in analytical chemistry, oncology, and sustainable synthesis, with collaborations across institutions.
