Permala Sehmar

Permala Sehmar is a Lecturer in Social Work at the School of Sociological Studies, Politics and International Relations, University of Sheffield. She holds a PhD from the same institution and has over 25 years of experience in social care, spanning practice, leadership, and policy development across voluntary and statutory sectors.

• Focused on domestic violence and abuse (DVA) in marginalized and minoritized communities
• Examines family practices, relationality, and child protection responses
