Dr. Peri O'Shea is a Lived Experience Academic at UNSW Sydney, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health and the International Centre for Future Health Systems. She specializes in qualitative, participatory research focused on mental health, consumer engagement, and co-design methodologies.

Her research addresses critical gaps in physical health care for people with severe mental illness, emphasizing lived experience participation in service design, disability rights, carer support, and integrated health systems.
