Per Valter

Per Valter is an Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering, Østfold University College in Norway. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Development and Technology from Aarhus University (2017-2019) and has extensive experience in both academia and industry. His teaching focuses on sustainable business models, technologies, and energy policy, including courses like 'Development of green business models' and 'Energy Technology, Policy and Sustainability' at HiØ.

His research interests span business model innovation, sustainability, digitalization, and energy transition. Notable projects include the FREIIA and FETREC initiatives addressing island resilience and energy transition. Valter has also contributed to initiatives like the Interreg Green Business Models project.

He has held roles as CEO in companies like Kompetence Skaber Værdi ApS and BoligMap ApS, demonstrating industry-academia collaboration. Valter’s work emphasizes applying technology-driven solutions to complex societal challenges, particularly in sustainable development and business model evolution.
