Per Odin is a Professor and consultant at the Department of Neurology, Lund University, Faculty of Medicine. He leads the Restorative Parkinson Unit and serves as Assistant Coordinator for MultiPark, a multidisciplinary research initiative focused on Parkinson's disease. Additionally, he is a member of the LU Profile Area: Proactive Ageing and contributes to the eSSENCE e-Science collaboration.
His research spans Parkinson's disease, non-motor symptoms, advanced therapies (e.g., rotigotine, levodopa intestinal gel), and rehabilitation strategies. Recent studies examine sleep disturbances, motor fluctuations, and impulsive-compulsive behaviors, with a focus on patient-centered outcomes and digital monitoring tools like the Parkinson’s KinetiGraph.
Current projects include machine learning applications for symptom parsing, dose-response analyses of pump-based therapies, and care models for progressive supranuclear palsy. He supervises PhD students and manages the Swedish Parkinson Academy infrastructure, emphasizing multidisciplinary collaboration and treatment compliance.
