Per Nilsson

Per Nilsson serves as Principal Researcher and Docent at Karolinska Institute's Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society. His laboratory investigates the role of autophagy in Aβ metabolism and neurodegeneration in Alzheimer's disease.

His research focuses on Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis, with particular emphasis on amyloid-β metabolism, autophagy mechanisms, synaptic dysfunction, and sex-specific differences in neurodegeneration.
