Per Kummervold holds a PhD in eHealth and Telemedicine and is currently a research fellow affiliated with the Vaccine Confidence Project™. His fellowship is funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (EU), and he has collaborated with the Vaccine Confidence Project since 2015 through his work at Norut. His research focuses on leveraging digital research methods and Transformer-based architectures to analyze large text corpuses, particularly in the context of vaccine sentiments.
Per’s research interests span Digital Health, Vaccine Sentiment Analysis, and the application of advanced Machine Learning techniques to public health challenges. His work contributes to understanding societal attitudes toward vaccines, including those related to the Ebola vaccine through the EBODAC project (funded by the Innovative Medicine Initiative, EU).
