Per Gunnar Røe is a Professor at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, University of Oslo, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences. He holds a Dr.Polit. from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (2001) and a Cand.Agric. in Regional Planning (1991). Prior to his professorship, he was an Associate Professor (2004–2013) and a Researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research (1992–2004).
Research Interests: Urban studies, suburbanization, mobility dynamics, social representations of place, urban planning theories, and qualitative methodologies.
