About
Per Delsing is a full professor at Chalmers University of Technology since 1997, leading research in quantum technology, superconductivity, and quantum information science. He focuses on quantum properties of superconducting devices, quantum optics on chip, and quantum computing with superconducting qubits. His work includes studying interactions between artificial atoms and microwave photons/phonons via surface acoustic waves (SAWs).
He teaches superconductivity and low-temperature physics. Affiliations include the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences. Awards include Distinguished Professor (Swedish Research Council), APS Fellowship, and Wallenberg Scholar.
Key research areas span quantum acoustics, nonclassical microwave states, and parametric amplification for qubit readout. Projects like WACQT (Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology) highlight his leadership in building quantum technology infrastructure. Over 135 publications demonstrate contributions to quantum measurement, Casimir effect, and single-electron transistor physics.
