About
Peng Liu is the Richard King Mellon Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh's Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. His research group specializes in computational organic chemistry, studying reaction mechanisms, catalyst design, and selectivity in organic and organometallic reactions through quantum mechanical calculations and machine learning approaches.
His recent publications demonstrate strong focus on catalytic asymmetric synthesis, computational mechanistic studies, and interdisciplinary approaches combining enzymology with transition metal catalysis. Research consistently explores new strategies for bond activation and functionalization.
