Peipei Ping

Dr. Peipei Ping is a distinguished Professor of Physiology and Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine. With a career spanning over three decades, she has established herself as a leading expert at the intersection of cardiovascular biology, proteomics, and data science. Her work bridges traditional biomedical research with cutting-edge computational approaches, creating innovative methodologies for understanding complex biological systems.

Dr. Ping received her PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology from the University of Arizona in 1990 and completed her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering & Mathematics at Zhejiang University in China in 1980. This unique combination of engineering, mathematical, and physiological training has positioned her to pioneer computational approaches in cardiovascular research.

Dr. Ping's research program focuses on applying advanced data science techniques to unravel the complexities of cardiovascular biology and disease. Her laboratory has been at the forefront of developing AI-driven approaches for analyzing proteomic and multi-omics data, with particular emphasis on protein dynamics, post-translational modifications, and mitochondrial function in heart disease.
