Peder Kvaale Solberg

Peder Kvaale Solberg is a Senior Lecturer in Theology, Religion, and Philosophy at NLA University College, Bergen. His work spans the New Testament, Church History, and interdisciplinary studies in Christianity, religion, and ethics.

• Education: Cand Theol. (2002) and ongoing PhD from MF Norwegian School of Theology, with research at St. Vladimir's Orthodox Seminary (2007–2008).

His research focuses on early Christian theology, ecumenical dialogue, and the intersection of faith with education and culture. He explores the theological language of Church Fathers, liturgical aesthetics, and scriptural practices in transformative learning environments.

Solberg's publications include the edited volume Gud er alltid større (2015) and articles on tradition-renewal dynamics (2010) and scriptural engagement in pedagogy (2010). His work often bridges patristic traditions with contemporary theological discourse.

He contributes to dissemination as co-editor of Segl, a Catholic journal for religion and society, and leads lectures on church history and spirituality at St. Jacob's Church, Bergen. His teaching includes courses on Christology, Judaism, and Galilean studies.

Projects include research in theology and spirituality, the Cappadocian Philokalia of Origen, and affiliations with the Catholic Theology Network and Collegium Patristicum Lundense.
