Prof. Paweł Kawalec serves as Director of the Institute of Theoretical Philosophy at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He holds a Master's (1995), Ph.D. (2000), and habilitation (2006). His research focuses on philosophy of science, methodology, and epistemology, with notable work in causality and R&D governance. He has held visiting scholar positions at the Center for Philosophy of Science in Pittsburgh (2004-2005) and contributed to EU Green Growth policy frameworks. Active in academic leadership roles, he chairs the Polish Academy of Sciences Committee on Science and edits Zagadnienia Naukoznawstwa.
