Paweł Hulisz

Paweł Hulisz is a trumpeter, arranger, composer, and Doctor of Musical Arts, currently serving as a Lecturer in Historical Trumpet at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk since 2023. His work bridges historical performance practices with contemporary innovation.

• Graduate of Gdańsk Academy of Music

Research & Interests:

• Expert in baroque and classical music performance on period instruments
• Founder and leader of Tubicinatores Gedanenses ensemble, reviving Gdańsk’s tower music tradition
• Reconstructed 18th-century Warmia musical pieces through Cappella Warmiensis Restituta
• Specializes in arranging works for historical contexts and contemporary artists

Notable Projects:

• Organizer of the 'Music from the Towers of Gdańsk' festival
• Collaborations with Goldberg Baroque Ensemble (14 CDs) and Sinfonietta Consonus
• Reconstructed Johann Wilhelm Stritzke’s 18th-century trumpet, displayed at Gdańsk Museum
