Paula Ratajczak

Dr. Paula Ratajczak is a researcher at Poznań University of Technology's Faculty of Chemical Technology, Institute of Technical Chemistry and Electrochemistry. She specializes in energy storage systems, particularly electrochemical capacitors and supercapacitors, with expertise in carbon materials and nanotechnology for advanced energy applications.

Dr. Ratajczak earned her Master of Science in Engineering in 2012 and her PhD in chemical sciences in 2015, both from Poznań University of Technology. Her doctoral dissertation focused on "Design of high voltage AC/AC electrochemical capacitors in aqueous electrolytes" under the supervision of Professor François Béguin.

Her research spans energy storage and conversion, electrochemical capacitors, composites and nanomaterials, carbon materials characterization, and applied electrochemistry. She has made significant contributions to understanding ionic liquid behavior in carbon matrices and developing sustainable capacitor technologies that operate at high voltages.

Dr. Ratajczak's publication record demonstrates a consistent focus on energy storage mechanisms, particularly in electrochemical capacitors. Her recent work (2022-2024) explores ionogels, lithium-ion capacitors, and advanced characterization techniques for understanding charging mechanisms, showing evolution from fundamental material studies toward practical applications.
