Paul Yalowitz

Paul Yalowitz is a full-time Professor of Art in the Art, Design & Art History Department at Framingham State University, where he teaches illustration while maintaining an active freelance career in editorial and children's book illustration.

His educational background includes:

• BFA from School of Visual Arts (SVA)
• MFA from The University of Hartford

Specializing in pencil-based illustration, Professor Yalowitz has produced artwork for numerous magazines and thirteen published picture books. His current creative focus centers on authoring and illustrating original children's stories, with his most recent publication being The Admiral and The Penguin. His artistic practice bridges traditional illustration techniques with contemporary narrative storytelling, emphasizing visual communication and children's literature development within both academic and commercial contexts.

As an educator, he integrates professional industry experience into his teaching methodology, providing students with practical insights into the illustration field through hands-on instruction in the Art, Design & Art History Department.
