Paul Steffens

Dr. Paul Steffens is a researcher at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), serving as the instrument responsible for ThALES, a neutron spectrometer. His expertise spans magnetic excitations, unconventional superconductors, multiferroic systems, and skyrmions. He is based at ILL 4, 3rd floor, office 344.

Dr. Steffens leads the development of the Marmot project (multiplexed continuous secondary spectrometer) and oversees the undergraduate student summer programme. He has contributed to software tools for TAS data treatment in Matlab, including Flatcone and nplot.
