Paul Sissons

Professor Paul Sissons is a faculty member at Keele Business School (Keele University) since May 2023, holding the title of Professor of Regional Economic Development and Policy. His research focuses on regional economic policy, labour markets, skills mismatch, and inclusive growth. He has held academic roles at the University of Wolverhampton (as Head of Management Research Centre and Professor of Work and Employment), Coventry University, and others. His work engages with government departments, local authorities, and third-sector organizations.

Key research areas include regional economic strategies, urban policy, wage progression, and the creative industries. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles and policy reports in journals like Regional Studies, Urban Studies, and Work, Employment and Society, where he serves as an editor.
