Dr. Paul Sharp is a Senior Lecturer in Health Behaviour Change and Sport Psychology at the School of Health Sciences, University of New South Wales (UNSW). He focuses on how sociocultural and gender-related factors influence men's health behaviors, with a strong emphasis on applied research. His work has led to over 35 peer-reviewed publications and contributions to global men's health promotion programs.
His current SSHRC-funded project explores men's social connection and peer support for mental health challenges, aiming to develop an online resource for mutual help. He holds a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney, an MSc and BHK from the University of British Columbia (UBC), and is an academic member of UBC's Men's Health Research Program and Reducing Male Suicide Research Excellence Cluster.
