Paul McNamara is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of New Hampshire's College of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on deontic logic, ethical theory, and the philosophy of moral language. He has authored/co-authored major works on deontic logic, including contributions to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy and the Handbook of Deontic Logic and Normative Systems. McNamara is also a fellow at the Institute of Philosophy, School of Advanced Studies, University of London, and oversees the Northern New England Philosophical Association.
