Paul Ledger is Assistant Professor in Geography at Memorial University of Newfoundland, cross-appointed to Archaeology. His interdisciplinary research combines palaeoenvironmental data and archaeology to study human-environment interactions, farming, and landscape change in the North Atlantic and Arctic over the past two millennia, focusing on Norse, pre-Inuit, and Inuit communities.
His methodological expertise includes analysing complex palaeoenvironmental deposits and developing chronologies for circumpolar archaeology. Current projects include investigating the biocultural legacies at L'Anse aux Meadows.
