Paul Kinder

Dr. Paul Kinder is a Research Assistant Professor in Resource Economics and Management at West Virginia University's Davis College, where he also directs the Natural Resource Analysis Center and coordinates the Master's Energy Environments program. A West Virginia native with over 30 years of experience, he holds degrees from WVU and Ohio State University.

His research spans:

• Geospatial technologies (GIS, Remote Sensing, UAVs)
• Environmental and ecological restoration
• Natural resources planning and management
• Social network analysis in resource governance

He employs transdisciplinary approaches across research, teaching, and service.

Recent publications focus on environmental restoration, socio-ecological systems, and rural public health, utilizing mixed-methods approaches including geospatial analysis and stakeholder engagement.
