Paul Joyce

Paul Joyce is a Principal Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Portsmouth's School of Education, Languages and Linguistics, teaching German and English linguistics programmes with expertise spanning historical and contemporary German language studies.

His research focuses on:

• German linguistics including modern dialects and historical development
• Cultural studies of the GDR and modern German cinema
