Associate Professor Paul Joseph Kildea is a faculty member at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) within the Faculty of Law and Justice. His research and teaching focus on public law, with specific expertise in referendums, electoral law, and federalism. He serves as the Director of the Elections & Referendums Project at the Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law, contributing to policy debates and legal reforms.
Paul co-edited Tomorrow’s Federation: Reforming Australian Government (Federation Press, 2012) and has published extensively in law and political science journals, including the Public Law Review, Australian Journal of Political Science, and Election Law Journal. Current projects include research on state and territory referendums, referendum rules, and electoral law reform.
