Paul Jaussen serves as Department Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Communication at Lawrence Technological University's College of Arts and Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in English with a joint Ph.D. in Theory and Criticism from the University of Washington in 2010. Research Focus:
- Investigates poetry across historical periods using systems theory frameworks
- Specializes in modernist and contemporary literary forms
- Examines intersections between literature and technological evolution
- Current book project explores contemporary poetry's relationship with world-disruptive aesthetics
Leadership & Initiatives:
- Co-directs the Humanity+Technology lecture series at LTU
- Secured funding from Michigan Humanities Council for academic programming
Teaching: Regularly instructs courses in world literature, modern poetry, literary theory, and literature-technology studies.
