Paul Breiding

Paul Breiding is a Professor for Mathematical Methods in Data Science at the University of Osnabrück, affiliated with the working group Applied Algebra and Data Analysis and the Research Unit Data Science. His research focuses on nonlinear algebra and metric algebraic geometry, bridging mathematical theory with data science applications.

Professor Breiding contributes to computational mathematics through the development of the HomotopyContinuation.jl software, which implements pencil-based algorithms for solving polynomial systems.
