Paul Boling

Paul Boling is a Professor of Christian Thought and Philosophy at Bryan College, where he has taught full-time since 1995. He holds academic degrees in philosophy and theological studies and contributes to the Christian Studies Department through his research and instruction.

Boling’s work focuses on intersections of philosophy, ethics, and Christian theology, particularly addressing dualism, moral philosophy, and theological implications of philosophical concepts. His conference presentations explore topics such as James K.A. Smith’s epistemology, ethical ramifications of dualism, and theological interpretations of pain and morality.

At Bryan College, Boling emphasizes critical thinking and truth-seeking within a Christian framework. He co-teaches with colleagues in philosophy and biblical studies, modeling respectful discourse despite interpretive differences. His academic career includes founding the Anchor Foundation discipleship ministry in 1981 and prior involvement with New Life ministry in Knoxville, Tennessee.
