Paul Atkins serves as Senior Lecturer in Media Production and Programme Leader for the BA Media Production course at the School of Arts, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). He leads curriculum development and module delivery including Introduction to Media Production, Creative Industries and Cultural Value, Digital Marketing and Content Production, and Sound, Image, Space.
His research critically examines creative industries development, the political economy of media systems, cultural policy frameworks, communications theory, and emerging podcasting/radio landscapes. Atkins investigates intersections between media regulation, digital content economies, and cultural value creation within contemporary communication ecosystems.
