Patti Adams

Patti Adams serves as Instructor of Flute and Piccolo at Loyola University New Orleans' School of Music & Theatre Professions within the Instrumental Studies department. She concurrently holds prominent performance roles as solo piccoloist and Assistant Principal flutist with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO), with extensive international performance experience including the Mexico City Philharmonic and National Repertory Orchestra.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Music from Louisiana State University. Adams maintains active leadership in professional organizations as immediate past Chair of the National Flute Association (NFA) Board of Directors, having produced the NFA's 25th anniversary convention in 1997. Her research and performance focus centers on woodwind pedagogy, orchestral repertoire, and chamber music collaboration, evidenced by frequent masterclasses at institutions including Rice University and the University of Michigan.

Adams has received significant recognition including being featured on the cover of Flute Talk magazine (February 2004) and multiple competition finalist placements. Her professional contributions extend to orchestra governance where she served as LPO Board of Trustees member and President for the 1999-2000 and 2006-2007 seasons.
