Patrizia SOLINAS

Patrizia SOLINAS is an Associate Professor at the Department of Humanities of Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her research focuses on pre-Roman languages of Italy, particularly Celtic and Lepontic linguistic traditions, epigraphy, and historical linguistics. She explores language contact, cultural identity formation through writing systems, and the sociolinguistic dynamics of ancient communities.

Her work includes studies on inscriptions from Northern Italy, such as the Celtic inscription of Briona and Lepontic epigraphic materials from necropoleis. SOLINAS has participated in major projects like the PRIN-funded 'Languages and Cultures of Ancient Italy' (2020-2026), examining linguistic and digital models of pre-Roman Italy. She also leads the 'SaInAT-Ve' project analyzing sacred inscriptions from Venetia's ancient territories.
