Patrick Rennhard

Patrick Rennhard is a researcher and lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), specifically at the School of Engineering. He currently serves as Group Leader for Short-Range Wireless Communications at the Institute of Signal Processing and Wireless Communications.

Patrick's research focuses on wireless communication technologies, particularly short-range wireless systems. His work addresses practical implementations of IoT (Internet of Things) technologies and explores wireless sensor systems that can measure and transmit data from challenging environments. He has also worked on innovative applications of Bluetooth Smart technology in measurement devices and investigated methods for wireless data acquisition, visualization, and internet-based storage.

As a lecturer, he teaches project modules in the Electrical Engineering degree program at ZHAW, applying his extensive industry experience to practical education.
