Patrick Pollock

Professor Patrick Pollock is a Professor of Veterinary Surgery and Remote and Rural Medicine specializing in Equine Clinical Sciences at the University of Glasgow. He is affiliated with the Glasgow Equine Hospital and Practice, and the Weipers Centre for Equine Welfare. His research focuses on surgical techniques, equine respiratory health, wound healing, and anesthesia innovation. Recent work includes studies on immersive simulation training for veterinary students, novel wound closure methods, and respiratory endoscopy advancements.

His grants include studies on biomarkers for non-healing wounds (2012-2016), suture techniques for abdominal closure (2016-2017), and respiratory tract disease (2013-2017).
