Dr. Patrick Pallier is a Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience at the Centre for Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma within the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. He is also affiliated with the QMUL Centre for Predictive in vitro Models.
His research focuses on neuroprotection and repair following trauma (brain, spinal cord), as well as neurodegenerative conditions and aging. Key projects include developing nutritional interventions for neurotrauma, fatty acid emulsions for acute spinal cord injury, neuroprotective compounds, and investigating brain vasculature protection and white matter aging.
Scientific awards include:
- Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA)
In teaching, he co-leads and lectures on brain disorders, chronic pain, and systems neuroscience across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, supervising BSc, MSc, and intercalated neuroscience students. He also advises students at QMUL for Neuroscience and Translational Medicine programs.
