Patrick Mullen is an Associate Professor of English at Northeastern University's College of Social Sciences and Humanities. His research examines Irish modernism, postcolonial history, and queer labor through literary and cinematic analysis.
Teaching areas include modernism, novel history, critical theory, and Irish literature. Mullen leads study abroad programs to Ireland focusing on literary and cinematic traditions.
He serves on the editorial board of Signs journal and is developing work on managerial representations in modernist fiction. His monograph The Poor Bugger's Tool explores Irish modernism through queer and postcolonial frameworks.
