Patrick Loulergue

Dr. Patrick Loulergue is an Associate Professor at the University of Rennes and a researcher at the Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences (ISCR, UMR CNRS 6226). His work bridges polymer material science and chemical engineering to develop sustainable membrane technologies for environmental applications.

His research focuses on:

• Design of biobased/biodegradable membranes with nano-objects
• Membrane material stability during use and end-of-life management
• Physical chemistry of transfer mechanisms in filtration and distillation processes

He has authored over 30 publications and delivered 80+ conference presentations. Currently, he serves as an editor for Chemical Engineering Science and as an elected member of the French National Council of Universities (CNU 62, Energy and Process Engineering section).
