Patrick Kury

Prof. Dr. Patrick Kury is an Adjunct Professor of History with a focus on Modern and Swiss History at the University of Lucerne, affiliated with the Faculty of Cultural and Social Sciences and the Historical Seminar. He holds a doctorate from the University of Basel (2002) and a venia legendi from the University of Bern (2010). Since 2012, he has been a permanent lecturer at the University of Lucerne and co-director of Stadt.Geschichte.Basel since 2017. His research interests include Jewish history, migration, national identity, and the history of knowledge related to population, health, and medicine. He has also curated historical exhibitions and contributes to academic and public history initiatives.
