Patrick Ha, MD is a Professor and Chief of Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he also holds the Irwin Mark Jacobs and Joan Klein Jacobs Distinguished Professorship in Head and Neck Surgery. He completed his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and advanced training in head and neck surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His clinical expertise spans thyroid/parathyroid surgery, robotic surgery for throat cancers, and endoscopic laser approaches.

Dr. Ha’s research focuses on molecular changes in salivary gland adenoid cystic carcinoma, supported by NIH grants. He has over 100 publications and serves on editorial boards of Head and Neck and Oral Oncology.
His awards include Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and multiple teaching awards from Johns Hopkins, as well as recognition as a Top Doctor in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology (2012–2014). He also leads UCSF’s Mission Bay Adult Services as Medical Director.
