Patrick Duggan is an Associate Professor of Performance and Culture at Northumbria University, serving as Head of Film, Media, Theatre and Performance since March 2020. He holds a PhD in Arts (general) from 2009 and has held academic posts at the Universities of Surrey, Exeter, and Northampton. His research focuses on contemporary performance, trauma, urban resilience, and political performances. He is series editor of Playtext and the 'The City' section of Liminalities: A Journal of Performance Studies.
