Patrick Doyle

Dr. Patrick Doyle is a Lecturer in United States History at the Department of History, Royal Holloway, University of London. He serves as the Postgraduate Studies (Taught) Lead and specializes in 19th-century U.S. history, particularly the Civil War era and the society/culture of the U.S. South. His research explores themes like class, family, and loyalty in Confederate South Carolina, blending microhistorical analysis with broader societal contexts.
