Patricia Coccoma, Ed.D., LCSW, is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the MSWO program at the University of New England. She holds an MSW from Adelphi University and a Doctorate in Education (Counseling Psychology) from Argosy University. With over 15 years of teaching experience in accredited MSW/BSW programs, she also maintains a private clinical social work practice focusing on psychotherapy for adults and families. Her research emphasizes trauma, trauma-informed care, ethics, and mental health, culminating in a co-authored book on neuroscience-informed social work practice. An active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), she lectures on social work ethics and adolescent mental health.
