Pascale Ghazaleh

Pascale Ghazaleh is an Associate Professor of History at The American University in Cairo, affiliated with the Sultan Al-Qasimi Department of History since 2005. Her expertise spans Ottoman history, 19th-century Egypt, and state-society dynamics during the Ottoman era.

• MA in Arabic Studies (Middle East History) from AUC (1997)
• BA in Political Science with a minor in Development Studies from AUC

Her research focuses on:
