Pascal SALEMBIER is a Professor of Cognitive Ergonomics & Interaction Design at the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT). He serves as Head of the Human and Social Sciences training program and leads the College of Humanities. Trained in experimental cognitive psychology at the University Paris V Sorbonne, he holds a PhD in Ergonomics from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Paris) and an Habilitation from the University of Nancy 2.
His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, and CSCW (Computer Supported Cooperative Work). Notable projects include studies on nuclear power plant supervision, air-traffic control systems, and contemporary music composition. He contributes to academic publishing as an editorial board member of Computer Supported Cooperative Work and associate editor of Le Travail Humain, and co-founded the e-review Activités.
Professional affiliations include membership in the LIST3N laboratory (Laboratoire Informatique et Société Numérique) and active participation in the European Charter for Researchers. His work bridges cognitive science, design, and technology to address collaborative and ergonomic challenges in diverse sectors.
