Pascal Michelucci is a Professor in French Studies within the Department of Language Studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). He teaches modern and contemporary French literature across both the Department of French at the University of Toronto and the Language Studies department at UTM. Michelucci is a co-founder and active member of the Groupe de recherche et d'étude de la littérature française d'aujourd'hui (GRELFA).
His educational background includes a PhD and MA in French Language and Literature from the University of Toronto, and a BA from Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis. Michelucci's research focuses on contemporary French literature, 20th-century French literature, French thinkers, language teaching and technology, modern and contemporary French writers, and the semiotics of mass media and information and communication technologies.
Michelucci's scholarly output shows a strong focus on metaphor theory, particularly in the works of Paul Valéry, as well as extensive research on authors including Rimbaud, Valéry, Pieyre de Mandiargues, Duras, Ernaux, and Jauffret. His recent publications demonstrate continued engagement with contemporary French literary production, gender politics in literature, and semiotic theory.

His research demonstrates sustained engagement with contemporary French literary production, particularly examining gender politics, narrative strategies, and theoretical frameworks for understanding extreme contemporary literature.
